a collaboration betweeen you and me
I have an idea and I’d love for you to be involved in this one with me.
All you need is a pen, a postcard and a stamp.
I’m doing a call out for a writing experiment I’d like your help with. I’m addicted to postsecret, found magazine and short short fiction and this afternoon I had a little idea bloom.
The bigger it bloomed, the bigger my grin so I thought what the hell, why not do it?
What I need is a postcard from you with a single word or phrase written on it.
I’ll write a flash fiction piece inspired by each phrase and image and post it with a picture of the original card.
This could be the beginning of something beautiful and inspiring and funny as hell.
My goal is to keep going until I get 100 postcards so do say you’ll play and spread the good word by passing this on to anyone you think would be interested?

Does the postcard need to be anything special?
Hey, thanks for your interest. It can be as special or ordinary as you want it to be. I don’t really want to set any rock solid guidelines. I’ll be using both the word/s and image/or lack of as a spark for the written pieces. Whatever that ends up being based on is entirely up to you. Hope you send one!
I am dying to do this, but I humm and hawww about the best card to send. Maybe just a blank one, or a really kitsch one from the Big Pineapple (which I’ve never visited).
I’d be exactly the same… something beautiful and spare, or filthy and over the top? Which me to be today? I’m so glad you’re on board with this one… I know whatever you send will be the best spark.

consider it done although we spoke about my phrase @dinner last night and i cant remember what is was have u any idea? i doubt it as u couldn,t even remember the whole dinner part thing. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

That just made my day. No wait. My fucking week! I’ve only written up to #15 and I’m not stopping til I get 100, so no, not too late. I feel all giggly. Your words are amAzing.
